Yuma Community Leaders’ Breakfast

Can you Help Sponsor the Breakfast?
The next quarterly Yuma Community Leaders is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 28. The breakfast will be held at the Yuma District Hospital at 7 a.m. The main topic of this meeting will be Amendments 60, 61 and 101. The Yuma District Hospital has passed a resolution to formally oppose these issues. Do other entities need to consider doing the same? How can we educate our constituents about these issues? A speaker will make a presentation on how we will be effected if these measures pass in the November election.  A sponsor is needed to help fund the meal at this meeting. Please call the Chamber office if you can take a turn in September.  The goal of the meeting is to promote the coordination of budgets, skills, and resources in our community and encourage communication to assist participating entities in accomplishing our goals.

Please call the Chamber office at 848-2704 to RSVP for the next Yuma Community Leader’s Breakfast.

Chamber Welcomes New Member

Yuma First Church of the Nazarene
The West Yuma County Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome the Yuma First Church of the Nazarene as a Member of its organization. Pastor David McQuisten expressed a desire to become an active member of the Chamber of Commerce in order to support the community of Yuma, its businesses, organizations and residents. This church is located at 505 E. Beatty Avenue and offers weekly Sunday services as well as a number of additional forms of ministry. They are committed to a sincere desire to serve the community through the use of their facilities and service. They are an example of their mission statement, “a great place to connect with God and His people.” The Chamber looks forward to having the Yuma First Church of the Nazarene as a part of our organization.

Thanks for the Beef!

Thank you for your Generosity!!

Donelson Ciancio & Goodwin, P.C. Donate Beef to Chamber

Thanks to the generous donation of Blaine Bowne of Donelson Ciancio & Goodwin, P.C. of Broomfield, the Chamber is the proud owner of a steer. Mr. Bowne purchased the steer at the Yuma County fair to support the 4-H youth and the community. He donated the critter to our organization to be used as a fundraiser. The Colorado gaming laws restrict us from raffling the beef, so we have sold the beef outright. Wray Meat is donating $50 towards processing.

Many, Many Thanks to both of these businesses for their support & generosity!
